He is a member of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS), The Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), and the Australian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ASAPS).
Dr Cronin was born and raised on the Gold Coast making him the Gold Coast’s first locally trained Specialist Plastic Surgeon. Dr Cronin has a special interest in performing cosmetic breast, body and facial surgery.
Outside of The Coastal Clinic, Dr Cronin also works in the Gold Coast University Hospital where he performs major head and neck surgery, breast reconstruction, microsurgery, lower and upper limb trauma, and general reconstruction. He is the Director of Training for the Plastic Surgery trainees/registrars where he is involved in the training of future plastic surgeons.
Dr Cronin was the inaugural President of the Griffith University Medical Society and underwent residency at the Gold Coast Hospital before being accepted to the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery training program in Queensland. Upon completion of his training, Dr Cronin has returned home to the Gold Coast where he and his wife Nicole started The Coastal Clinic in 2022.
Shortly after opening the surgical clinic in Southport, they also opened a non-surgical clinic in Varsity Lakes offering a range of non-surgical treatments.
Dr Cronin and Nicole have three young children which they enjoy spending time with at the beach or taking them for bike rides through the parks.
